Dr. Rajeev Krishnamoorthy, President and CEO

Krishnamoorthy has two decades of experience in communications, data networking and semiconductors. His pioneering work has resulted in the adoption of today's 802.11b wireless LAN standard, and the first commercially available wireless MIMO system for WiMAX. Prior to founding Tzero, Krishnamoorthy was vice president, technology at Iospan Wireless (now part of Intel) where his team developed MIMO and WiMAX products. He spent the early part of his career at Bell Labs in AT&T and Lucent, including several years at the wireless LAN division of Lucent in the Netherlands where he co-invented and developed the underlying technology for the current 802.11b (WiFi) standard.

Krishnamoorthy is a consulting professor at Stanford in the electrical engineering department. He received his bachelor’s degree from Caltech and his master’s and Ph.D. from Cornell.


Bernard Glasauer, COO

Glasauer is a veteran high-technology executive officer, having served in both multi-billion dollar public corporations and pre-revenue start-ups, with more than two decades of experience in leading worldwide, multi-site P&L, R&D/engineering and operations functions. His areas of focus have included semiconductors, software, intellectual property and electronic systems. Previous to his current position, Glasauer had senior leadership roles at Cypress (NYSE: CY), ARC (LSE: ARK.L), Virata (IPO, later merged with Globespan), Siliquent (acquired by Broadcom) and Samsung. Additionally, he has consulted for multiple high-technology international clients, directing his practice towards improved financial and new product delivery performance.

Glasauer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a double major degree in electrical engineering / computer science and materials science engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.


Tzoyao Chan (T. Chan), Senior Vice President of Technology

Chan joined Tzero in 2006 with 25 years experience in semiconductor engineering for the PC and consumer electronics markets. Prior to his current role, Chan was SVP of product development for Genesis Microchip, a leading provider of display image processors for the TV market. At Genesis, Chan was responsible for all product development and led a team of over 200 engineers worldwide. During the course of his tenure Genesis’ revenues grew from less than $10M per year to more than $270M. Before joining Genesis, Chan was Director of Engineering at Cirrus Logic. He has also held various engineering and management positions at leading chip-design companies including Bell Labs (now Lucent Technology), Intel Corp, LSI Logic, Chip & Technology and S3.

Chan holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Arizona in electrical engineering and owns 11 U.S. patents.


Thai Nguyen, Vice President of Engineering

Nguyen has over two decades of experience in designing and managing communication semiconductors and systems development with a focus on broadband wireless. He had previously been Tzero's VP of RF and Hardware and was responsible for delivering the best-in-class UWB RF CMOS transceiver and the reference design system. Prior to that, Nguyen was VP of RF/Analog and Applications at Quantenna Communications, developing MIMO RF products in sub-micron CMOS technology, and director of RF/Analog development at Resonext Communications (acquired by RFMD) where he delivered industry-leading 802.11 a/b/g direct conversion CMOS RFIC transceivers. In addition, he has held management and engineering positions at Toshiba America Electronics Corporation, IC Works (acquired by Cypress) and National Semiconductor.

Nguyen received his BS degree in EECS from University of California at Berkeley. He has been granted 12 patents and has 12 pending.
